The coyote is a popular figure in folklore, especially in
many north American indigenous cultures. As the trickster
he is both outsider and culture-hero, often creating through
destruction and succeeding through failure. Characteristics
include inventiveness, mischievousness, and evasiveness.

In the wild coyotes generally move about in groups and
hunt individually or in pairs. They adapt easily to changing
circumstances and their population continues to expand.

ART COYOTE introduces a new system — a system
of "coyotes" — horizontal, networking and anarchic.
Art-coyote.net represents a network of independent
artists and curators who come together for specific
projects and later disband.
